Working groups ESG
UniPeace-N. U. has established a series of working groups composed of representatives from different jurisdictions drawn from representatives of interest groups, academics and practitioners from around the world to establish greater compatibility between the published exposure drafts, i.e. open to comments and initiatives in course on the diffusion of sustainability. As is known, the definition of standards in sustainability-related financial reporting is developing simultaneously in different parts of the world and, from our point of view, represents an opportunity to align, where possible, jurisdictional and international requirements to provide the standard the global acceptance by public authorities and market participants. The aim is to help provide a high-quality global scientific basis for sustainability information, including an initial focus on detailed climate, social and governance requirements. This framework addresses the needs of capital market participants around the world and can be used directly on a voluntary basis by market participants or incorporated into mandatory requirements of jurisdictions.
The objective of the ESG Study Group is to encourage the use of theories and methodologies, including cutting-edge ones, consistent with the Economic-Business tradition, to address the topics under study.
The Study Group on ESG will promote the following activities: organize meetings, also involving national and international experts, aimed at discussion between participants; promote seminars and conferences, also aimed at institutions and market operators; produce volumes and scientific articles. THE ROLE OF WOMEN
As history teaches, the condition of women has undergone various changes over the centuries. In almost all times and countries, in past societies, it has been subjected to less favorable treatment than that reserved for man, both from a legal, economic and civil point of view, so much so that it has remained excluded from a whole series of rights and activities. social.
Women today in the West are workers and citizens and have an important role in an industrialized society, especially from an economic and productive point of view.
There are many examples of excellence: the female manager, the female Prime Minister, the female President of the Republic, the female President of Confindustria.
There are many examples of excellence: the female manager, the female Prime Minister, the female President of the Republic, the female President of Confindustria.
Unfortunately the same emancipation has not happened in other parts of the world. There women are still subjected to the authority of their father, brothers, husband; their body, considered a diabolical temptation for believers, is a source of shame and for this reason must be veiled.
Therefore the road towards gender equality still remains long and tortuous.
The working group “The growing role of women in all fields” studies the progress made and the resistance still present, with the aim that women can finally have the same rights as men and equal dignity and social recognition.
